Mother's Day Kittens

Mother’s Day Kittens- May 9, 2014


It all started out as one house cat, Roxy. 

We had just moved into a beautiful new home, and on occasion there would be this stray white cat in the back yard sitting, staring, watching us from a distance. Many months pass. Winter comes and goes.  Then on Mother’s day weekend, 3 years ago, life changed.  I pulled into the driveway, got out of the car, and what do I hear?  That faint, distinct little cry that we all know, coming from the under our front porch- Kittens! Gasp.  I felt like a kid…’we have kittens!’

We tried desperately to find the owner of the little white stray….We tried desperately to find good homes for a Mother & babies. The weeks go by, and we get more and more attached to our babies… Then, one of the little boys found a FANTASTIC home with our good friends (but that is another blog – his name is Romeo!) 

Finally, it was too late; we couldn’t part with our little Mother’s Day gift.

And that’s the story of our family of 4…Roxy, Momma Cat, Mouse & Tiger Lily!
